Racing day 4 again with no wind

After going out on the water with up to 11 knots, the wind decrases. 30 Minutes later there was no chance of sailing a race. "Today is a perfect day for hiking", a local meterologist for sailing commented the situation.
AP and A was followed by a nice pricegiving where no titel was awarded...

Racing day 3 showed us 1 race

Shifting wind from South, West and even North with 3 to 10 knots made the competitors sailing a long time on the water. There have been a lot of starts (only one general recall) but some abandonments because of lack of winds, shifts,...
At the end of the day the race officer maneged to complete at least one race on the scorebord.

Another day without racing

Racing day 2 was another day with no wind on lake Attersee. The participants enjyed the time by having a rest in the sun, playing games. In the evening it was the Zipfer bar who made the competitors happy. Michi Müller and Michi Fischer operated the grill and made great buregers for everybody.

Day 2: Opening, first day of racing

After the second round of registration and equipment checks Adi Lüzlbauer as the organizing officer opens the event.
As there was now wind AP was hoisted one hour before the first planned start. Some hours later it was AP over A.
In the evening a sailors dinner with noodles and drinks was served.

Day 1: Registration and equipment check

On the first day of the event there was registraion at the race office. The organizers put starting numbers and sponsor stickers on all boats. The weight of all competitors was checked propperly by the event measurer.
In the late afternoon the Zipfer bar was opened with free beer for everyone. A welcome snack was served by the host.

Dear young Starsailors!

As the president of the Union-Yacht-Club Attersee, as a Star, Dragon and former 470 and Soling sailor, I extend a warm welcome to all of you!

I am convinced that you will have an amazing time with us and our team, who will do the best as well onshore as offshore to guarantee you perfect conditions for a great regatta.

Onshore we will organize pleasant social events to make your visit pleasurable and beautiful.

Furthermore the stunning landscape surrounding our waters will be a charming scenery for the Star U30 Europeans! Even as resident in the village Attersee I‘m still thrilled by the beauty of the largest Austrian lake.

U30 Europeans at Attersee

Honoring the work with the "Future Stars" ISCYRA supports the bid of Union-Yacht-Club Attersee to host the U30 Europeans for the second time after 2021, where UYCAs jumped in as a host after the covid cancellation of the event at Starnbergersee (GER).
